Friends of Metung, in association with FOGL have recently been advised that their application for funding through the Parks Victoria ‘Healthy Parks, Healthy People Community Group Grants’ has been successful, with $10,000 being allocated to the project. Around 50 people, locals, semi-locals and visitors, attended the Community Day at the Reserve on Saturday 13th June. The two guided walks allowed all to view first hand the current problems of erosion from inappropriate use by off-road vehicles, weed invasion and general lack of management in the Reserve.
